Adorable and Adoptable Pet of the Week: Buster
Reading time: 2 minutes
This week’s adorable and adoptable pet is smiling from ear to ear. Who can blame him when there might be an adoption on the horizon. Let’s help the Greater Birmingham Humane Society find this precious pup the perfect home.
This beautiful chocolate Labrador Retriever mix is 73 pounds of pure sweetness. He is 4 years old with a super chill attitude. He loves other dogs and is house trained. This big guy is a part of the ‘Pay It Forward’ program so his adoption fee is waived.
Buster is a part of the ‘Foster-to-Adopt’ program because he is positive for heartworms. This program means he will be treated until his heartworms clear up then he will be able to go home with his adoptive family. All treatment costs are covered by GBHS, as well!
All adoptable pets from the GBHS are neutered/spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines. They also have more than just cats, dogs and puppies. They sometimes have birds, ferrets, reptiles, pigs, bunnies and other pets up for adoption. Adoption fees are as follows:
- Cats, kittens, dogs or puppies:
- Animals six months and under: $50
- Animals older than six months: $25
- Rabbits: $25
- Ferrets: $50
- Rats, Guinea Pigs & Hamsters: $10 for one or $15 for a pair
All active and retired military members and their immediate family members receive waived adoption fees with a valid ID presented at the time of adoption.
