A very timely event. Just last month, President Obama created the Freedom Riders National Monument in Anniston.

Be inspired, by folks who literally “risked their lives” to defeat Jim Crow and segregation.

Also, check out Charles Person’s story of courage, that was published in the Washington Post last month.

Person and fellow Freedom Rider Bill Harbour will be speaking tonight at UAB’s Lister Hill Library, 6-8.  The event is free and open to the public.
