BOLD Series with Jim McClintock a huge success! Continue to follow McClintock’s adventures at #JiminAntarctica (video)

Birmingham Now Speaker Series

It was a night to remember.

A full house. Avondale Brewery had to put out extra chairs.  The crowd started arriving 30 minutes early, to secure good seats. And Dr. Jim McClintock captivated the audience of 75+ for 50 minutes with a passionate talk about Antarctica, climate change, solutions and the future.

Along with the presentation, McClintock’s chosen charity, Hand in Paw benefited from a portion of the tickets sold at the event.

We also held an impromtu book-signing of McClintock’s books  Lost Antarctica and A Naturalist Goes Fishing.  And at the end of the event McClintock encouraged the attendees and Bham Now readers to join him and follow his adventures on twitter at #JiminAntarctica

A fantastic BOLD Series event.
