The Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham
The Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham helps women and their children move out of poverty through collaboration with local organizations, grantmaking, and advocacy.
This organization serves women in Shelby, St. Clair, Jefferson, Walker and Blount Counties to help them to provide for their families.
Their Collaboration Institute 3.0 is an 18-month curriculum that directly provides single mothers with opportunities for post-secondary education, child care, and job training to move out of poverty.
They also help the women cover the cost of tuition and training for high-demand health services jobs through their Families Forward program.
The Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham also partners with local organizations helping women and children to apply and receive grants.
To help reverse the policy problems targeting these women and children, the Women’s Fund also advocates to end predatory lending and make child care more affordable.
To fund all of these incredible programs, they need resources. Cue the fundraising…
