On Tuesday, September 1, from 9PM-midnight, look for the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center, Iron City, The Alabama Theatre + The Lyric lit up in red. Together with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra (ASO), they’re joining other theaters and event venues across the continent for the #RedAlertRESTART campaign. The goal? To shine a light on the industry’s current COVID-related struggle.

Hello! Homewood Theatre has a production coming up called  “Inspecting Carol” Our show runs Dec. 5th – 8th and 12th – 15th. Thurs, Fri, & Sat at 7:30 and Sun. at 2:30 Brief Summary:Set in a theatre, “Inspecting Carol” deals with a regional theatre company that is rehearsing its annual production of “A Christmas Carol,” its cash cow, when it gets news of the impending arrival of an inspector from the National Endowment for the Arts to review their work. The actor playing Tiny Tim gets a better offer and leaves the production in the lurch. When an aspiring actor of somewhat questionable talent arrives to audition, he is mistaken for the inspector and given the part of the child actor. The company goes on to stage an accident filled, error laden production of their play.
