Self Care Yoga

August 30th The collective Trapped Boss presents Self Care Yoga at Avondale Park from 5-6PM. This free event is devoted to creating a safe and holistically therapeutic space for women to disconnect from the world and connect more with yourself.

As our nation faces a pandemic, many things about our lives seem unforeseeable; causing tension, anxiety and stress in our bodies. Women have to work extra hard, all the time and even harder during these unprecedented times. Trapped Boss aims to provide safe spaces for women of all ages to take a break from their hustles, to relax and feel great through breath and movement. Embrace the chance to network, and the space to move and focus on self-love with motivating energy around you while enjoying local vendors! Trapped Boss’s Self Care Yoga will enforce national social distance protocols to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Masks will be mandatory for entry and each participant must maintain 6 foot distance between each other. Attendance is limited, in order to register for Self Care Yoga and secure your ticket, reserve your spot here.

Join yoga instructor Ashanti Alexander for a 45 minute restorative yoga routine. Ashanti will provide tools of physical, mental, and spiritual therapeutics all of which is ideally suited to fit holistically to self care. With everything going on in the world, this is the perfect chance for strong women to treat themselves to the wellness that their minds, bodies, and souls deserve. This event aims to incite positive change in the lives of the women of Birmingham by bringing opportunities for increased relaxation and self care during a time of turbulence.

Trapped Boss is a platform and initiative brought to the city of Birmingham by Stoonic Athletic Apparel and Some Serious Fitness. Their mission is to provide the community of working women in Birmingham an outlet for balancing self care with their busy lives and to promote collaboration between entrepreneurial women.
