Our 12th annual backyard BBQ competition and festival; fun for the entire family! There will be live music, face painting, kids workshop, and moon bounces. Teams compete for the best BBQ and bragging rights. Event attendees get all-you-can-eat samples of the best chicken, beef brisket, ribs, sauce, and pork butt in town!
Brookwood Village is an official destination for “Deck the Ham” – a contest where local Birmingham artists paint holiday-themed murals on windows throughout Birmingham. Shoppers are encouraged to post a picture with their favorite mural on Instagram using #DeckTheHam to help the judges decide on the winner.
It seems that every month we read about great opportunities being presented to early-stage companies or startups in Alabama. This week three Birmingham companies are finalist in Alabama Launchpad’s competition for $150,000 in Prattville, Thursday at 4PM.
The Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA) holds an annual competition to provide the top three winners with funding for their startup.
Now, 9 more startups, one of which is based in Birmingham, will be competing in the 2017 round.
