Description

Join us for a guided trip to the most recent addition to the Cahaba Blueway, Flemming Park, at the confluence of Buck Creek and the Cahaba River. This is a great stretch of river for a beginner to advanced paddler. As with most of the Upper Cahaba, this is a stretch that you’ll want to catch at the right water level. Paddling this stretch, we can see the importance of managing the forest in a riparian zone. We will paddle through mostly quiet and remote areas and will see scenic rock formations and bluffs as we move downstream. We will also see some dramatic examples of the heavy erosion present on the Cahaba River. Remember to always be kind to your downstream neighbor!

Guided canoe trips are weather and water-dependent. If there are changes or cancellations, Wil Rainer will contact each guest and let you know the plan.

What to Bring

You are welcome to bring a cooler for your water and lunch, but alcohol is prohibited.
