Big Canoe Creek Jam Kicks Off the Opening of Big Canoe Creek Nature Preserve

Join Us on Saturday, June 15th at Homestead Hollow in Springville, Alabama for a Day of Music, Community, and Celebration

Springville, AL – May 30, 2024 – The City of Springville, St. Clair County Commission, Big Canoe Creek Nature Preserve, and Big Canoe Creek Preserve Partners are thrilled to announce the inaugural Big Canoe Creek Jam, a spectacular event celebrating the grand opening of the Big Canoe Creek Nature Preserve. The festival will take place on Saturday, June 15th at Homestead Hollow in Springville, Alabama.

The Big Canoe Creek Jam marks the kickoff of the highly anticipated Big Canoe Creek Nature Preserve, a 422-acre Forever Wild preserve. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy live music, feast on local fare, shop at exhibits from participating vendors, partake in children’s activities, camp, hike, and immerse themselves in the great outdoors.

Preserve Director Doug Morrison highlights the benefits of the Preserve, “Big Canoe Creek Nature Preserve offers a unique combination of scenic beauty, recreational opportunities, and conservation efforts. It’s a place where people can connect with nature, learn about the environment, and enjoy various outdoor activities. This preserve is crucial for protecting our natural resources and providing a haven for wildlife. We’re excited its doors are finally open to the public for everyone to enjoy.”

The Big Canoe Creek Jam team aims to make this an annual event, providing an enjoyable experience for all of Alabama and beyond.
