Melting Pot closed its doors in fall 2018 after around 11 years of business. Alabama’s two other Melting Pot locations in Mobile and Huntsville closed around the same time.

The Lee Branch restaurant will be Alabama’s only Melting Pot location for the foreseeable future.

The restaurant is slated for a soft opening in December 2026 with a grand opening planned for January 2027, if construction stays on track. The 5,200-square-foot restaurant space will accommodate 164 guests once completed.

Melting Pot was a fan-favorite dining spot for date nights, celebrations and the unique experience of dipping your dinner or dessert in melty cheese or rich chocolate. The new location will feature the fondue experience people expect from the brand, with the addition of a modern dining room upgrade.
