Stone Hollow Farmstead expands Homewood store—see what’s inside

In September 2025, a family farm with an outpost grocer and gift shop in Pepper Place—Stone Hollow Farmstead—opened its second Birmingham-area retail location in Homewood.

Now, a year later following a brief closure, Stone Hollow Farmstead has expanded its Homewood location with a fresh new look and plenty of new inventory just in time for fall. We made a visit to learn more.

What’s new at Stone Hollow Farmstead?

If you’ve ever visited FarmStand, its outpost store at Pepper Place, you already know the vibe—fresh flowers, elevated kitchenware, homemade jams and syrups, popcorn and more organic goods.

Located in Harpersville, Stone Hollow Farm was founded in 1999 by Deborah Stone and is currently run by Stone, her daughter Alexandra, and their families.

Here’s what to expect at the new and improved Homewood location dubbed “Of Earth & Home”, according to a recent post shared to Instagram:

“After weeks of unpacking boxes, moving tables, filling shelves, clipping stems and making this little corner feel like Stone Hollow, we are so grateful to begin our first full week in Homewood.

Inside, you’ll find single stems while the gardens last, silk florals and dried botanicals, provisions from the pantry, collected pieces for the home and garden, thoughtful gifts, and all manner of things for the season ahead.

Homewood, thank you for having us. Our door is open, and we can’t wait to welcome you in.”

Inside, the Homewood store is full of fun and unique goodies. For example, Smithey cast ironware—store staff told us this South Carolina-made cast iron is about as close to local as cast iron gets, and this shop is one of only two in Alabama that carry it

All of the furniture in the store is antique and for sale. Plus, all food, condiments and apothecary items are made locally on the farm.
