Do you know when your next meal will be? For many across Central Alabama, the answer isn’t so simple. Sometimes, it means choosing between putting food on the table, paying rent or covering healthcare costs.
The good news? United Way of Central Alabama (UWCA) works alongside local partners to help connect people with food and other essential resources.
Here’s how that support works, where to find help when you need it and a few ways you can lend a hand.

That’s why local hunger relief efforts matter. In 2025, UWCA-supported programs helped provide more than 15.7 million meals across the region.
