Another wings, fish and burgers restaurant has opened on the corner of the Bessemer Super Highway and Aaron Aronov Drive in Midfield.
What makes this place different from most wing joints on the west side of Birmingham?
What sets this spot apart? Hibachi — not something you usually find at a wing joint.
What Wing District offers
Locally owned Wing District opened its doors on Sunday, July 25, 2026 at 104 Bessemer Super Highway near Western Hills Mall.
A welcoming place, the Wing District, offers a massive menu that includes:
- 33 kinds of wings — hence the name Wing District
- 4 kinds of Philly Steaks
- 7 kinds of burgers, including a Teriyaki Cheese Burger
- Fried options – Chicken tenders, fish and shrimp
- Salads
- Hibachi – cooked 8 different ways
The addition of hibachi is what stands out on Wing District’s menu.
Hibachi is a Japanese cooking style using a flat iron griddle — a healthier alternative to deep frying. It is a flavorful way to cook meat and veggies.
We tried Wing District’s chicken and steak hibachi and it was a hit with the entire family!
