According to Del Mar’s owner, before the restaurant opened its doors in Fairfield last week the closest eatery you could find authentic Mexican seafood was Atlanta.

If you are a seafood-lover, this is the place for you.

The menu is filled with delicacies cooked every way imaginable, including:

  • Oysters
  • Lobster
  • Red snapper
  • Tilapia
  • Shrimp

In addition to the main course, each meal includes salads and rice.

Other seafood specialties recommended by Del Mar’s owner:

  • Pina Del Mar — The House Seafood Pineapple
  • Camarones Cucarachas – Shell-on Fried Shrimp (spicy)

A special bonus, you’ll only see at Del Mar? At nearly all Mexican restaurants you are provided chips and salsa before your meal. Del Mar greets you with an beautifully constructed appetizer of ceviche with marlin on a large round tortilla-sized chip.
