One of summer’s biggest community celebrations is almost here! Trussville Dog Daze 2026 returns for its 45th year on Saturday, August 1, bringing a full day of live music, delicious food, shopping and family-friendly fun to the historic East Mall.
This beloved Trussville tradition has something for every age, from kids’ activities and local vendors to adorable pups and local entertainment. Best of all? Admission is free!

Need a break from the summer heat? Dog Daze will feature shaded seating areas, misting stations and even a splash pad where dogs can cool off throughout the day. You can also cool off inside Cahaba Elementary Gym during the Mascot Meet & Greet or stop by the Historical Museum for a tour inside Heritage Hall.
1. Trussville Dog Daze features local entertainment all day

One of the most exciting parts of Trussville Dog Daze is the live, local entertainment. All of the action will be held in one convenient spot: the Historic East Mall in front of Cahaba Elementary School.
During the event, the steps of Cahaba Elementary School transform into a mini amphitheater, giving festival goers a front-row seat to performances from local musicians, student groups and community organizations throughout the day.

- 10AM: Highway 11 Band
- 11:00AM: Miss Kelley’s School of Dance
- 11:30AM: Trussville Children’s Theater
- 12PM: Hewitt-Trussville Middle School Cheerleaders
- 12:15PM: Hewitt-Trussville Middle School Dance Team
- 12:30PM: Hewitt-Trussville High School State Champ Meet and Greet
- 1PM: Trussville Senior Center Line Dancers
- 1:30PM: Birmingham Martial Arts Demonstration
- 2:30PM: Pup Strut Doggy Competition
- 3:30PM: Chris Mills, Solo Performer
2. Trussville Dog Daze is packed with family-friendly fun

Bringing the whole family? You’re in luck. One of the most popular areas at Trussville Dog Daze is the gated Kids Area, where little ones can run, play and have a blast.
Here’s what’s waiting for your kids:
- Dunking booth
- FREE face painting
- FREE Foam dance party
- FREE Balloon creations
- Inflatable games
- Misting Stations
- Touch that Truck
Looking for even more fun? Stop by the Fun Source Kid Zone inside the kids area, where kiddos of all ages can enjoy additional rides and inflatables throughout the day. Unlimited armbands are available for $25 (cash and venmo only!), with proceeds benefiting the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund.
Tip: If temperatures start to climb, take advantage of the misting stations or head indoors for the Mascot Meet & Greet at Cahaba Elementary Gym or the museum inside Heritage Hall.
3. Experience 100+ food + booth vendors

Whether you’re on the hunt for handmade gifts, cool artwork or fresh local goods, you’ll have plenty to browse.
This year’s Trussville Dog Daze features more than 100 local vendors, making it the perfect opportunity to shop small while supporting local businesses.

4. Enter your dog into the Pup Strut to win prizes

It wouldn’t be Trussville Dog Daze without the crowd-favorite Pup Strut. Expect plenty of tail wags and fashionable fur-bulous outfits as local pups strut their stuff down the runway for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights.
Think your four-legged friend has what it takes? Register at the Fencing Unlimited tent by 2PM on Saturday, August 1, for a chance to win. There is a $5 donation fee to enter and the money raised will go to Cahaba Dog Park.
Tip: If you plan to take your dog to the event, don’t forget a leash and disposable doggie bags to help keep the festival grounds enjoyable for everyone.
