Tired of cold sandwiches and soggy salads eaten under fluorescent lights with your eyes still glued to the computer? Magic City Sips is here to rescue you from sad desk lunches this summer and fall! Keep reading to find out how you can spice up your lunch hours.

What to know about Food Truck Fridays with Magic City Sips

Food Truck Fridays is Magic City Sips’ newest monthly event hosted in partnership with the City of Birmingham’s Department of Innovation and Economic Opportunity (IEO) designed to energize downtown’s lunch scene by spotlighting local flavor.

Once a month, food trucks will transform 20th Street between Linn Park and Birmingham City Hall into downtown’s go-to spot to grab lunch with coworkers, enjoy some fresh air away from the office or just taste something new from Birmingham’s vibrant culinary scene!

Food Truck Fridays details 👇:

  • Where: Birmingham City Hall/Linn Park | Short 20th Street, Birmingham, AL
  • When: Save the date for these upcoming Fridays in 2026:
    • June 26
    • July 24
    • August 21
    • September 18
    • October 16
  • Time: 11AM-2PM
  • Cost: The event is FREE | food and drink items will be for purchase
  • On the menu: Each Friday will feature a rotating lineup of diverse, local food trucks, so you’ll never run out of new lunch, dessert + beverage options to try!

Food Truck Fridays is part of the City’s Department of IEO’s ongoing efforts to support local entrepreneurs and small businesses by celebrating public spaces and encouraging community engagement—and your culinary venture could play an integral part, while also reaching a whole new customer base!

If you have a food truck, beverage cart, etc. you’d like to have featured in the Food Truck Fridays roundups, Magic City Sips encourages you to apply!

All vendors must:

  • Be licensed with the City of Birmingham
  • Be in good standing with all city requirements
  • Apply in advance through our official sign-up form
