Exclusive: Irondale reveals new street mural celebrating America [PHOTOS]

The city of Irondale started work on a new street mural this weekend celebrating America’s.

The mural, which is located in front of the City Hall, is painted by Dewon Moten, the popular Birmingham muralist.

“This mural is more than paint on a street—it’s a symbol of our shared love for our country and our commitment to building a community where pride, unity, and opportunity flourish.”

Irondale is holding several events this week in addition to unveiling the mural. Below is their lineup of events:

• July 1 — Irondale Illuminate 250 I 8:00PM I Building lit red, white and blue – City Hall, Police Dept. and Library
• July 2 — Red, White & Woof I 5:00PM – 7:00PM I Tails by the Rails at Ellard Park Dog Park, free hot dog and meet Uncle Sam
• July 4 — Farmers and Makers Market by the Tracks at Irondale City Hall I 8:00AM
• July 4 — Red, White, Blue & YOU Festival I 6:00PM to 9:00PM I Parade, Bands, Giveaways, Food Trucks and the Fireworks Spectacular at 9:00PM
