That’s where Burrow & Bloom comes in. The beloved Morris Avenue play space has become a favorite among local families for its imaginative, hands-on experiences—and this July, it’s bringing that same magic to three summer camp sessions.

3 Birmingham summer camps for creative kids

Located on historic Morris Avenue downtown, Burrow & Bloom’s Summer Collective combines hands-on creativity, imaginative themes and old-fashioned camp fun in a boutique studio setting designed to inspire young minds. Every project is handmade and every activity intentionally chosen—Burrow & Bloom doesn’t pull from a template.

This summer, Burrow & Bloom is hosting three unique camp sessions with distinct themes designed to help kids create, explore and make memories.

Each camp session offers morning, afternoon and full-day options for campers:

• Morning sessions: 8:30AM-12:30PM (Mon-Fri)
• Afternoon sessions: 1-4PM (Mon-Fri)
• Full day: 8:30AM-4PM (Note: Curriculum does not repeat between morning and afternoon sessions—If your child stays for the full day, please pack a lunch. Light snacks are provided by Burrow & Bloom for all campers.)

Nostalgic camp vibes: The Social Club | July 6-10

• What: Inspired by nostalgic summer camp traditions and classic “Parent Trap” vibes, The Social Club celebrates friendship and teamwork. Campers will weave friendship bracelets, create vintage-inspired tie-dye projects and participate in collaborative Village Challenges designed to encourage connection and confidence.

Explore nature: The Secret Garden | July 13-17

• What: For kids who love flowers, nature and a little enchantment, The Secret Garden transforms Burrow & Bloom into a botanical wonderland! Campers will participate in a professional floral design workshop with Flowers by Callie, create everlasting paper bouquets and design their own starter gardens to take home. Along the way, they’ll learn about creativity through nature while exploring hands-on artistic projects inspired by the English countryside.
• Campers will receive: Custom Secret Garden tee, botanical tote + floral masterpieces made during the week

• Age group: 6-10

Channel your creative side: The Art Gallery | July 27-31

• What: Designed for older creatives ages 8-13, The Art Gallery offers a more elevated studio experience focused on artistic exploration and self-expression. Campers will experiment with fiber art, plaster textures and abstract mediums while building a portfolio of original work throughout the week. The experience culminates in a Friday Evening Red Carpet Gallery Reception, where artists can showcase their creations for family and friends!

Celebrate any occasion at Burrow & Bloom on Morris Ave

The main floor at Burrow & Bloom is home to a family-friendly “kids’ village” where children can play, imagine and explore while parents and caregivers rest nearby.

Upstairs, it has dedicated event space perfect for baby showers, birthday parties, weddings and other events.
