Jordan-Hare Stadium found itself in an unfamiliar spotlight Tuesday night as the eyes of the international soccer world were on The Plains.

Lionel Messi and the reigning World Cup champion Argentina were in town, bringing a wave of Argentine supporters + soccer fans from around the world.

And after a couple of hours of heavy rain, more than 80,000 fans got into the stadium to watch la Albiceleste defeat Iceland 3-0 in its final tune-up match before the 2026 World Cup. Speaking of, here’s where you can catch a match with fellow fans in Birmingham starting Thursday, June 11.
