Momentum unveils new headquarters in downtown Birmingham

On Thursday, May 28, Birmingham-based leadership advancement organization Momentum unveiled its brand-new headquarters in downtown Birmingham. Located in the Nextec Building, Momentum’s new headquarters will allow the organization to expand its programming, initiatives and community engagement opportunities.
About Momentum, Alabama’s premier leadership organization

Founded in 2001, Momentum is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to “advancing women in leadership and strengthening businesses and communities by offering access to leadership development for all.”
In addition to its flagship leadership development programs for executive women and early-career women, Momentum is a resource for:
- Community conferences + events centered on women in leadership
- Workshops + training on leadership and diversity
- Connections to 350 accomplished alumnae
- Extensive mentoring programs
- Local + state-wide date on women in leadership
- Research and trends on national topics affecting women

Today, Momentum’s leaders unveiled the organization’s brand-new headquarters in downtown Birmingham.

Located at 1531 3rd Avenue North in the Nextec Building—a 2023 redevelopment of the historic Edwards Motor Company building—Momentum’s new headquarters includes more than 3,000 square-feet of space for:
- Staff offices
- Leadership programming
- Mentoring initiatives
- Community engagement opportunities that support the organization’s mission
