New playground opens at Leeds’ Moton Park

Back in 2024, we let you in on two projects happening in Leeds: An upgraded playground and splash pad at Moton Park. Good news, Leeds residents! The state-of-the-art playground equipment is officially open.

Playground now open at Moton Park in Leeds

Moton Park is a 15-acre green space in Leeds’ Russell Heights community, located along Moton Street. The park features open spaces, covered pavilions and now brand-new playground equipment.

Originally proposed in September 2024, the City of Leeds Mayor Eddie Moore and the City Council fast-tracked the project as part of their continued investment in improving Leeds.

The bright blue and green equipment—complete with a ramp, bridges, slides and play panels—is perfect for family gatherings and everyday play.

In a Facebook post, the City of Leeds touted some more improvements coming to parks and other places around town. We can’t wait to see!
