Remember the summer of 2023, when Matthew McConaughey and Kurt Russell were shooting scenes throughout the Birmingham metro area?
The movie’s name? The Rivals of Amziah King.
Today, the much-anticipated film, which premiered last year at the SXSW Film Festival and is scheduled for release in August, dropped its official two-minute trailer.

Distributed by Black Bear Pictures, The Rivals of Amziah King, is slated for limited theatrical showings on Aug. 14 and then a national release on Aug. 21 according to Deadline, a website covering Hollywood and entertainment.

But the honey game is ruthless, and Amziah’s rivals threaten to destroy everything he has built.”
