A new investment in health, wellness and community growth is taking shape in Homewood. Pylon Building Group recently broke ground on the Vitalogy Wellness Center & Med-Spa, a three-story, Class A medical office building located at 2714 20th Street South.

The project will replace the existing Metcalf Realty building and serve as a modern hub for holistic, patient-centered care and professional medical service.

A vision for holistic health

Founded by Dr. Farah Sultan, Vitalogy Wellness Center & Med-Spa focuses on a comprehensive approach to well-being. The practice blends functional medicine with advanced treatments such as:

  • Hormone therapy + weight loss programs
  • Body contouring + regenerative medicine
  • IV nutrition therapy
  • Skin rejuvenation, injectables + laser treatments

The third floor of the new facility will serve as the future home for the practice.

“Breaking ground in Homewood is a meaningful milestone for us…

“We are creating an environment where cutting-edge science meets personalized care in a truly exceptional way”.

Dr. Farah Sultan

Building community impact

Birmingham-based Pylon Building Group is leading the construction, according to a release from the company, and plans to focus on creating a high-quality environment that reflects the needs of the surrounding community.

“This project is about more than a building; it’s about expanding access to care and creating space for people to invest in their health.”

Reggie Torbor, CEO and president of Pylon Building Group

Several companies are teaming up on this project, including:

  • Developer: Crescent Real Estate Holdings, LLC
  • Architects: Birchfield Penuel Architects
  • Financing: Oakworth Capital Bank
  • Leasing: Harbert Realty Services

While Vitalogy anchors the top floor, medical space remains available on the second floor. Additional retail and medical opportunities will be located on the ground floor.

The building is scheduled to be complete in the first quarter of 2027.
