A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Clubs 60th Anniversary

For 60 years, the A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Clubs (AGGBGC) has “provided a safe, supportive environment where young people can learn, grow and realize their full potential.”
Through multiple Club sites across Greater Birmingham, AGGBGC offers programs focused on:
- Academic success
- Healthy lifestyles
- Character + leadership development
These programs continue the vision of Dr. A.G. Gaston to enable young minds and become responsible and caring citizens.
Someone else who has made themselves known for playing a pivotal role in young people’s lives: Jalen Hurts. He and his team at the Jalen Hurts Foundation encourage youth to “execute their purpose,” and do so through creating and pouring into local opportunities for them.
The AGGBGC invited Hurts to be a part of their 60th Anniversary celebration. Here are the details:
- What: A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Clubs 60th Anniversary Dinner
- When: Thursday, May 14 | reception at 6PM, program at 7PM
- Where: Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa
- How much: $250 | Tickets
According to the AGGBGC, the fireside chat will connect legacy leadership with today’s role models and the ongoing “Gaston Blueprint” for future generations.
“Celebrating 60 years is both a reflection of our past and a commitment to our future. Having Jalen Hurts join us for this milestone event is an honor. His story mirrors the values we’ve championed for decades—grit, discipline, and heart.”
Andre McFadden, CEO, A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Clubs in a press release
Plus, funds raised at the 60th Anniversary will support more than 2,100 youth across Greater Birmingham—whether it’s through afterschool and summer programs or new Club locations.
