Hang onto those drink cups, Birmingham, this year’s Magic City Mimosa Festival on May 3 has been canceled.

The cancelation announcement

On April 22, the Magic city Mimosa Festival took to social media to announce the news on Facebook and Instagram, stating:

“Attention ticket holders & vendors—this year’s Magic City Mimosa Festival has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. Refunds will be issued shortly, and we apologize for the unfortunate news. We hope to see you guys next year.”

After debuting in 2023 at Sloss Furnaces and quickly becoming a local favorite—with bottomless mimosas, local eats, live music and a 21+ crowd. The festival went on to sell out in both 2024 and 2025.

So what happened?

Unfortunately, details remain unclear, and we’re awaiting comment from the festival’s organizers. One thing is certain, though—locals are bummed.

What about you, Birmingham—do you hope the Magic City Mimosa Festival makes a comeback soon? Let us know on social @bhamnow.
