1. Wing Kitchen | Roebuck

A restaurant that serves everything from chicken tenders and wings to philly cheesesteaks and fried rice dishes has opened in Roebuck.
Chris Hong, the co-owner of the establishment, told Bham Now the first Wing Kitchen opened in Atlanta about 5-6 years ago by his aunt and uncle. Since then they have launched locations in Douglasville, Georgia and Tuscaloosa.
According to Hong, Wing Kitchen’s specialty is the 20 kinds of homemade sauces they offer ranging from lemon pepper to teriyaki.

3. Heavenly Donut Co. | Homewood

Birmingham-based The Heavenly Donut Company is opening its second location at The Edge on Green Springs Highway in Homewood with a grand opening scheduled for Friday, April 17.
The Heavenly Donut Company is famous not only here in The Magic City but it is also the darling of national foodie publications and television shows—named “one of the best in America” by Food Network.
4. Icon Birmingham | Five Points South

A new gay bar is coming soon to Five Points South’s Pickwick Plaza. In the wake of the closings of Our Place and The Quest Club—two of Birmingham’s most prominent LGBTQ+ spaces—Kyle Richardson, owner of Icon Tuscaloosa, started searching for a way to expand Icon’s presence to The Magic City.
On the entertainment side, Icon Birmingham is leaning into what made the Tuscaloosa location such a hit: drag shows and brunches, themed parties and collaborations with local LGBTQ+ and other social organizations.
One of the biggest additions to Icon’s new Birmingham location is its full kitchen. Although the menu isn’t fully finalized yet, guests can expect pizza, pasta, wings, salads and other classic bar food favorites.
5. Farmhouse at The Silos | Trussville

A new spot for scratch-made meals and easygoing vibes is opening soon. The Farmhouse at the Silos officially opens Wednesday, April 8 and it’s bringing fresh life to the former Trussville Country Club, now The Silos Golf Club. No membership required—just bring your appetite.
The restaurant is operated by owner Ryan Zargo, the name behind The Farmhouse of Springville, which quickly became a local go-to after opening in 2020. The Farmhouse at The Silos of Trussville has a packed menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner options, from artisanal sandwiches and burgers to salads and steak.
