Son of a Butcher closed for shop renovations: Here’s what to know
Reading time: 2 minutes

The Son of a Butcher (TSOB), a local butcher shop located in Pepper Place, is closed until Tuesday, March 10, while construction is underway.
The renovations will address its growing clientele, enabling TSOB to sell a wider variety of high-demand products.
“As we’ve grown over the past four and a half years, we’ve reached a point where our current layout no longer supports everything we want to bring you. To better accommodate the items you’ve come to know and love, we’re upgrading our store layout!”
TSOB email newsletter, Sunday, March 1

The updated space will allow the shop to sell:
- Everyday sandwiches
- Expanded prepared food offerings
- Additional wine + beer selections
- More thoughtfully designed product displays
TSOB will also create a small outdoor “garden nook” beside the shop, which will act as a place for guests to enjoy sandwiches and other prepared food, according to Sloss Real Estate Company.
The first stage of construction began Sunday, March 1, and TSOB will remain closed until Tuesday, March 10 due to demolition.
After that, the shop will have a soft reopening while construction is finished. Shoppers will have partial store access during the following few weeks.

It’s not too late to place pre-orders for some The Son of a Butcher meats, ranging from beef filets and ground beef to chicken fingers and Gulf shrimp — and even some cheeses and potato chips.
Place an order on TSOB website by 2PM on Wednesday, March 4 to pick it up while you shop at Pepper Place Market on Saturday, March 7.
