Local pizza fave SanPeggio’s opening first franchised location in Hoover

If SanPeggio’s Pizza is on your weekly delivery list, you’ll want to add their upcoming location to your radar. The company is set to open its first-ever franchised location this month in Hoover, according to the Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ).
SanPeggio’s expansion plans in Hoover + beyond
The new location will open this month in the former Papa Murphy’s location on Medford Drive in Hoover, and will be the first franchise out of the gate for the homegrown pizza chain.
According to the BBJ, SanPeggio’s Chief Data Officer Srayvan Kumar said the Hoover opening is just the beginning. The company wants to open 30 locations by 2028, with additional Alabama stores planned for Pelham and Alabaster.
Kumar also told the BBJ that they hope to expand beyond state lines in places like Atlanta and Nashville, with Columbus, Ohio having already signed on.
What won’t change as SanPeggio’s expands?
The pizza. If you haven’t had SanPeggio’s before, they make everything in-house, from egg-free dough made fresh daily to hand-cut cheeses.
