Birmingham-based Eugene’s Hot Chicken plans to start franchising.

The announcement was made on Facebook by the popular chicken joint’s owner Zebbie Carney. Below is the post.

In 2018, Eugene’s opened their first brick & mortar restaurant in a compact—yet comfortable—location at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex’s (BJCC) Red Parking Garage in Uptown.

Eugene’s has been slowly moving beyond downtown Birmingham over the years with restaurant openings at Riverchase Galleria and last year in Montgomery.

What does franchising mean for Eugene’s? Expect to see in the near future new locations popping up in Alabama and beyond.

That’s a big win for hot chicken aficionados everywhere!
