Rojo gives $609K+ in donations to local charities
Reading time: 3 minutes

Through Rojo Birmingham’s popular Give Back Nights, they’re helping dozens of local nonprofits, schools and more organizations.
The beloved Highland Park restaurant recently shared its 2025 charity giving totals.
Rojo continues to give back to the community

Laney DeJonge and Clark Lopez founded Rojo because they wanted a place where people could gather and enjoy delicious cuisine. One cool thing Rojo does is host percentage nights where they give a percentage of their sales to a local nonprofit.
Each year, Rojo donates through its popular 10% Tuesdays program, where 10% of sales are donated directly to local nonprofits and schools, in addition to its ongoing giving throughout the year.
Here’s what that looked like in 2025:
- $17,877 donated through 10% Tuesdays and other contributions
- $29,856 total giving when including Sidewalk Film Festival and WBHM sponsorships, plus food and gift cards donated to charity events
Since opening, Rojo has donated a total of $609,656 to the Birmingham community—with a long-term goal of reaching $1 million in donations!
