ACIPCO 109 $61 million building permit issued for new ACIPCO project

Of more than two dozen building permits issued statewide this past week for construction projects exceeding $1 million, the vast majority are for projects in the Birmingham metro.

The largest of these permits is for a project at American Cast Iron & Pipe.

New project at ACIPCO

ACIPCO 107 $61 million building permit issued for new ACIPCO project

A $61 million building permit was issued to Brasfield & Gorrie for a major project at American Cast Iron & Pipe.

The project includes:

  • replace existing furnaces with greener induction furnaces
  • create a new lining and coating facility
  • add new casting machines
  • establish a new employee center

ACIPCO’s project, which they have dubbed “AMERICAN for Life 2030,” is intended to solidify the company’s investment in Birmingham.
