In 2023, we let you know that the beloved Tamburro’s Italian Home reopened in Trussville after a 13-year closure. But now, the family-owned business announced that they’re closing the doors for good.

Founded in 1994, Tamburro’s was a Trussville staple for over a decade. It was beloved by so many locals and newcomers, too—founder Dick Tamburro would walk through the restaurant serenading guests with his accordion!

Tamburro retired in 2010, but in 2023, his daughter, Kyleen Kramer, and daughter-in-law, Tina Tamburro, sought to revive the family business.

Two years later, the family announced the beloved restaurant’s immediate closure:

“To our wonderful community, we are deeply saddened to let you know that Tamburro’s Italian Home has closed, effective immediately. This was a very difficult decision, but we can no longer keep the business open.

We have truly enjoyed this journey and are so thankful for all the memories and support you have given us. Thank you for being part of our family and our story. We wish you all the best and hope to see you again someday.

Kyleen”
