Homewood High School’s sixth appearance at the Tournament of Roses Parade will go down as one of the soggiest in the iconic event’s history.

According to the Los Angeles Times it had not rained at the Rose Parade for two decades and the 2026 edition was only the 11th time rain had fallen since the parade began in 1890.

Despite the wet conditions, the band performed wonderfully. Below are videos of the band marching along the 5.5 mile route.

Led by director Chris Cooper, the Patriot Band has the largest band in the state of Alabama, with over 380 students. They’re no strangers to major holiday parades, either. The Patriot Band has marched in the Macy’s Parade, and last year, the band performed at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland.
