Last year, we told you about Homewood High School Patriot Marching Band being invited to march in the “Grandaddy of Them All®” — The Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California.

Well, the day is almost here! The Homewood Patriot Band is gearing up to perform in its sixth Rose Parade on January 1, 2026.

Homewood Patriot Band’s 6th Rose Parade performance

In 1984, Homewood was the first band from Alabama to march in the Rose Parade, and 2026 will be their sixth appearance.

Led by director Chris Cooper, Homewood has the largest band in the state of Alabama, with over 380 students. They’re no strangers ot major holiday parades, either. The Patriot Band has marched in the Macy’s Parade, and last year, the band performed at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland.

Catch them in their sixth Rose Parade this New Year’s Day!
