The Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) has been presented with a “Readers’ Choice Award” from ConventionSouth, a publication that provides resources for planning events in the South.

BJCC is one of 502 convention and visitor bureaus, meeting facilities, hotels and venues in the region to get this recognition from ConventionSouth. More than 7,000 voters participated in the selection process.

This is the third time the BJCC has received the award since it was created in 2001.

As an award recipient, the BJCC will be featured in the December 2025 “Awards Issue” of ConventionSouth magazine. This issue will showcase the other awardees, emerging professionals and trade secrets of event planners.

BJCC is on the up and up

While this award recognizes the BJCC for their prowess as a meeting and convention venue, the BJCC always has something exciting happening.

Last month, the BJCC welcomed more than 74,000 guests for sold-out shows, community gatherings and special performances, making it one of the busiest months ever for the complex.
