4 new popular restaurants to open on Hwy. 280 before end of 2025

Valley Post, the new dining and entertainment complex featuring four popular eateries, is on target to open by the end of 2025.
Located in Shelby County on Highway 280 at 1012 Dunnavant Valley Road, the 6-acre development is a collaboration between Mike Mouron and Capstone Real Estate Development and The Pihakis Restaurant Group (PRG).
The new development is across from the entrance of the Dunnavant Valley Soccer Fields, one of the largest soccer field complexes in the Birmingham metro area.
The four restaurants coming to Valley Post include:
- Rodney Scott’s BBQ — Namesake of the James Beard award winning pitmaster
- Hero Diner — Famous for their doughnuts, the diner offers a wide range of memorable breakfast and lunch options
- Little Donkey — A legendary Homewood favorite, the restaurant serves Mexican Food with a Southern Soul. Tip: Their fried chicken is nationally recognized
- Luca & Lucy — Their tagline: A Taste of Italy in the Heart of Alabama. Look for pizzas and red sauce infused plates

Valley Post gathering place
In addition to the great restaurants, Valley Post is a gathering place for the entire community. There will be large outdoor patios, a common green space and a place to view sporting events and special screenings.
According to Valley Post representatives the four restaurants are currently hiring up to 200 people, to help them meet their goal of opening by the end of 2025.
