After closing its doors in mid-2024, Ghost Train Brewing Co. is once again showing signs of life. In a social media post on Thursday, the previously defunct brewery teased plans to bring its popular beers—such as the Kaleidoscope Kettle Sour, Gulf Coast IPA and O-Bomb Imperial Sour—to taps across the state.

Today is a good day for fans of Ghost Train Brewing Co.’s signature craft brews.

Founded in 2014, Ghost Train Brewing Co. was a popular local brewery known just as well for its flagship beers—like the Kaleidoscope Kettle Sour and Allurium Double IPA—as its seasonal brews like its Blueberry Cheesecake Smoothie Sour.

First located in Southside at 2616 3rd Avenue S., Ghost Train moved to the M2 development at 3501 1st Avenue South in 2022. Unfortunately, the move and pandemic-related delays caused Ghost Train to go into debt, forcing the brewery to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2024.

Now—a year later—Ghost Train is back.

Ghost Train shared the announcement on its social media pages, stating Ghost Train brews will soon be “back on taps across Alabama & beyond,” and to stay tuned for further updates.
