A popular local restaurant known for its Southern and Cajun-inspired comfort food has announced its plans to relocate to downtown Birmingham’s Two North Twentieth building.
Encore Rouge moving from Southside to downtown Birmingham

In 2022, local food truck Encore Rouge opened its first brick-and-mortar space in The Waites apartment building on Richard Arrington Blvd. After a little over three years in Southside, the popular restaurant is making a big move closer to downtown Birmingham.
According to a press release from Harbert Retail, the real estate agency that represented the landlord, Encore Rouge will be leasing a 3,200-square-foot space on the ground floor of Two North Twentieth, a 17-story office tower located at 2 20th St N. along Morris Avenue.

“We are thrilled to welcome Encore Rouge to 2 North 20th Street. They bring incredible energy to Birmingham’s restaurant scene, and we’re proud to be a part of their continued growth and success.”

The new, larger space will allow Encore Rouge to better accommodate its expanding customer base, drawn in for popular menu items like:
- Bourbon Street Shrimp — Crispy fried shrimp tossed in our creamy spicy boom boom sauce.
- Bayou Burgers — Topped with Encore Rouge’s signature spinach dip, sauteed Gulf shrimp and smoked gouda cheese. Served on a brioche bun with seasoned fries.
- Mom’s Famous Chicken Salad
