In 2022, local food truck Encore Rouge opened its first brick-and-mortar space in The Waites apartment building on Richard Arrington Blvd. After a little over three years in Southside, the popular restaurant is making a big move closer to downtown Birmingham.

According to a press release from Harbert Retail, the real estate agency that represented the landlord, Encore Rouge will be leasing a 3,200-square-foot space on the ground floor of Two North Twentieth, a 17-story office tower located at 2 20th St N. along Morris Avenue.

“We are thrilled to welcome Encore Rouge to 2 North 20th Street. They bring incredible energy to Birmingham’s restaurant scene, and we’re proud to be a part of their continued growth and success.”

Casey Howard, Executive Vice President/Broker, Harbert Retail

The new, larger space will allow Encore Rouge to better accommodate its expanding customer base, drawn in for popular menu items like:

  • Bourbon Street Shrimp — Crispy fried shrimp tossed in our creamy spicy boom boom sauce.
  • Bayou Burgers — Topped with Encore Rouge’s signature spinach dip, sauteed Gulf shrimp and smoked gouda cheese. Served on a brioche bun with seasoned fries.
  • Mom’s Famous Chicken Salad
