New fast food chicken spot opening in downtown Birmingham this August

A new fried chicken joint known for its Asian-style spin on Southern Classics is coming to Birmingham this month. Located on 4th Avenue S., The Chicken Spot claims to be “Birmingham’s new fried chicken obsession”—here’s what we know.
The Chicken Spot opening August 20
The Chicken Spot has everything you could dream of in a chicken restaurant: classic chicken fingers, wings and sandwiches. But they’re also bringing Asian flavors, a special sauce and plenty of yummy (and fried) sides.
Here are a few I’m excited for:
- Grilled chicken pita
- Chicken finger sandwich
- Cheese fries
- Fried okra
Plus, The Chicken Spot has tons of shareables and to-go platters for an office party or quick family dinner.
Neighboring Wayback Burgers, China Master and Waffle House, The Chicken Spot will add to the fast food scene on 4th Avenue South.
