Satterfield’s, Hattie B’s, Irondale Cafe + more earned A+ food service scores in July

Several Jefferson County restaurants — including BITE in Pinson, Daniel George Restaurant, Jack Brown’s Beer & Burgers, Munchie’s on 5th , Satterfield’s— and 28 more—received 95 and above on their food service scores this past July.

Since 2018, Bham Now has reported the monthly Jefferson County Department of Health restaurant food service scores. Each month, the Health Department inspects an average of 100+ local establishments that handle and serve food. 

They include:

  • Restaurants
  • Schools
  • Nursing homes
  • Daycare centers
  • Hospitals
  • Grocery stores
  • Concession stands
