Pasquale’s Pizza began in 1953 in the booming city of Cincinnati Ohio and is regarded as the very first pizza chain to open in the United States.

Pasquale (Pat) Gramaglia and his family wanted to create a place where the love of traditional Italian food and family were all together under one roof. The Italian café hit it off and quickly became franchised in 1956 and eventually sold to their Birmingham franchisee, who had greater plans to expand locations.

The chain was then sold to other companies across the country, and eventually, each location became independently owned and featured its own unique menu. For years, the eatery has only had one location in Gardendale. But this will soon change with the opening of a new location in Pell City.
