10 Easter Egg Hunts around Birmingham—perfect for kids of all ages

Get ready for spring in Birmingham with our roundup of egg-cellent Easter events for kids of all ages, from egg hunts to photo ops galore.
Be sure to check event details in case of weather-related cancellations, and most importantly, have fun!
1. Easter Egg-Sperience at The Birmingham Zoo

Don’t forget to bring a basket along (no artificial grass please). Your child can collect up to 10 eggs and then head over to the redemption station to exchange them for a fun candy bag.
Kids can join one of three egg hunts on Henley Lawn, each organized by age group:
- When: Saturday, April 12 | 10AM-1PM
- Ages 0-4 hunt from 10AM-10:30AM
- Ages 5-9 hunt from 11AM-11:30AM
- Ages 10+ hunt from 12PM-12:30PM

2. City of Birmingham Spring Festival

This family-friendly event is packed with fun for everyone. Enjoy delicious food from a variety of food trucks, listen to some great music, participate in exciting activities and watch out for a special appearance by the Easter Bunny.
It’s a day full of smiles and memorable moments for the whole family.

3. West Homewood Park Easter Egg Hunt

Hop on over to the Homewood Easter Egg Hunt, where toddlers to 10-year-olds can join in the exciting fun. Little ones will be hunting for colorful eggs alongside other kids in their own age group.
But that’s not all—there will be games, awesome prizes and a special visit from the Easter Bunny for some egg-stra special photos.

5. Easter Eggs-perience Egg Hunt @ Ruffner Park Sports Complex

This event will feature an egg hunt with over 5,000 eggs, free ice cream, crafts and photos with the Easter Bunny. Just be sure to bring a basket for the egg hunt.

6. Hoover & Vestavia’s BEST Easter Egg Hunt
Enjoy pictures with the Easter Bunny—and don’t forget to bring your camera. The event also includes an egg hunt, a raffle with prizes, fun games and vendor booths for everyone to enjoy. Bring the whole family and make sure to RSVP beforehand.

Get ready for an egg-stra special afternoon of fun at the Trinity West Homewood campus.
The festivities begin with lunch and then some crafty activities. The first egg hunt starts at 12:45 pm, with hunts organized by age group. So grab your basket, bring your kiddos and get ready for an exciting Sunday.

8. Glow in the dark Easter egg hunt @ Lakehill
Get ready for a fun-filled Glow-in-the-Dark Easter Egg Hunt. Kids 12 and under can hunt for glowing eggs, enjoy music, tasty food, win prizes and candy and snap some fun family photos at the photo booth!
Please be sure to RSVP on the LakeHills Church website in order to secure your spot. All activities are indoors and outdoors, so this event is rain or shine!

9. A Very Special Easter Egg Hunt in Pelham

This family-centered event is designed for active participation from children with various disabilities or limitations. There will be huge egg hunts for all ages, and siblings are welcome to join in the fun!
The Easter Bunny will be available for close visits or from a distance, making sure everyone feels comfortable. This event aims to create an inclusive environment where children can have fun at their own pace.

10. The Connection Church Easter Eggstravaganza

Everyone is invited to Easter at The Connection. After the service, there will be a massive Eggstravaganza Hunt for children ages 0-13. All eggs are filled with plenty of candy and small toys.
Families can also enjoy inflatables, giveaways, lunch and a dessert food truck. There’s something for everyone, making it a fun-filled Easter celebration at The Connection.
