  • Member Early-Bird Shopping: Thursday, April 10 | 1-5:30PM
  • Public: Friday, April 11 | 8AM-5:30PM + Saturday, April 12 | 8AM-2PM
• Where: Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Formal Lawn + Hill Garden, 2612 Lane Park Rd, Birmingham, AL 35223
• Cost: Free admission

Shopping tips:

• Become a member—or update your current membership—and get first dibs on plants during Early-Bird Shopping on April 10.
• Members at the $250 level and above are welcome to borrow a cart at the sale from the membership table.
• Bring along a folding cart or wagon to make shopping easy.
• Bring your checkbook or credit card—no cash sales.

To make your shopping experience even easier, bring a wagon or cart! The gardens can get crowded, and having a way to transport your plants to your car easily will make the whole process smoother and more enjoyable.

This event is about more than just plants—it’s about ensuring you have an enjoyable and hassle-free experience. With a wide range of fantastic options, it’s easy to find more than you expected and chat with plant experts along the way. You may even make some new friends!

My favorite thing about the Spring Plant Sale is sharing the advantages and beauty of native plants with people who may not know anything about them. There is a big interest right now in using native plants to create gardens that are sustainable for the environment and local native insect and animal species, which benefits our whole community.

The plant sale is an opportunity for people to visit the Gardens who may not have realized what a great place it is. I’ve learned how excited people are to grow a garden. A lot of families come together and pick out plants so it involves the whole family.
