Birmingham’s Rocky’s Pizza teams up with Milo’s for new dish

Two legendary “Birmingham Original” restaurants, Rocky’s Pizza and Italian Foods and Milo’s Hamburgers, have collabed to create a special Milo’s Hamburger Pizza for the month of March.

Famous Magic City Collaborations

One of our favorite things to write about in the Magic City are local food and drink collaborations.

Think—Alabama Peanut Company’s “beer-peanut” happy hour collaborations with several local Birmingham breweries or Big Spoon’s Ice Cream collaboration with local chefs.

That’s why we were thrilled to get a call from Rocky’s about them teaming up with Milo’s Hamburgers to make a pizza.

“We decided that for 2025, we were going to create a monthly pizza special. We really came up with some fun and creative ideas but the best idea we had was to reach out to local Birmingham restaurants to see if we could find a way to incorporate their popular menu into our pizzas. 

Once we had the idea we all agreed that Milos would be the first group we reached out to. We all love Milos.”

What a great combination! Milo’s Hamburgers was founded in Birmingham wayback in 1946, while Rocky’s was established on Green Springs Avenue in 1986 and later garnered a cult-like following near UAB on Richard Arrington Blvd.

After closing in 2016, Rocky’s returned in 2024, opening its new space at Five Points South.

What’s in the Milo’s Hamburger Pizza

The first day the new pie, which is called the Milo’s Hamburger Pizza, will be served is Saturday, March 1st on “Rocky’s fight-night.”  On those evenings Rocky’s orders all of the big Pay per View fights— free for all of their customers to come and watch. 

What’s in Milo’s Hamburger Pizza?

• Milos sauce
• Milos Hamburger patties
• Choice of cheddar cheese OR three cheese blend
• Pickles
• Onions
• Topped with a drizzle of Milos sauce and chopped onions
