Love trees? Alabama sure does!
That’s why Governor Ivey’s 2023 proclamation designates the last week of February as Arbor Week in Alabama—a time to celebrate the beauty, benefits and importance of trees in our communities. (Fun fact: Alabama Arbor Week is in February because it’s actually the best time to plant trees according to our climate!)
To get into the spirit, check out these spring events where you can snag free tree seedlings, plant something meaningful and help grow a greener tomorrow.
