The Exceptional Foundation’s 21st Annual Chili Cook-Off is just around the corner, and it’s time to get your tickets!

On Saturday, March 1 join the community at Brookwood Village for an unforgettable day filled with delicious chili, live music, family-friendly activities and much more.

This event will feature 151 chili cook teams battling it out for the grand prizes, showcasing some of the best chili in the region. Whether you’re a fan of mild, spicy, or everything in between, there will be something to satisfy every taste.

The Exceptional Foundation is partnering with Alabama Power’s Renew Our Rivers program, one of the nation’s largest river clean-up projects. Alabama Power has been a longtime supporter of the Chili Cook-Off, and their continued involvement helps make this event even more impactful.

What is The Exceptional Foundation?

At its core, the Chili Cook-Off is all about supporting the The Exceptional Foundation, which serves over 700 individuals with special needs each year. The foundation provides a range of social and recreational services for individuals aged 5 to 81, including daily programs, sports activities, weekend outings and much more.

  • For adults, there are daily programs that focus on activities like:
    • Exercise
    • Art
    • Cooking
    • Science
    • and more
  • For younger participants, The Exceptional Foundation offers youth summer camps for school-age children to engage in:
    • Swimming
    • Music
    • Adaptive P.E.
    • Field trips
    • and more
