Good news for all espresso lovers!

The Blend Coffee House, a family-run shop and nonprofit in Jasper and Sumiton, is now bringing its business to Adamsville.

The shop first opened in Sumiton in 2018 before expanding to Jasper. Now, Blend is hoping to open up shop sometime this spring.

Joey and Nancy Clark had the biggest full-circle moment of their life when Joey was diagnosed with Chari Malformation that led to Syringomelia, a critical neurological disorder.

After losing their patience and livelihood, the couple had truly hit rock bottom. After getting deeply involved at church in Empire, Alabama, the pair and their newborn daughter decided the create something that the community would greatly benefit from: a coffee shop for everyone.

They saw the community lacked common ground and wanted to create something that gave the younger generation and safe space. Thus, The Blend Coffee House was born in 2018.

“While being pastors we began looking for ways to connect with the young adults in our community. Once the coffee shop took off, we stepped away from full time pastoral administration. We tell people The Blend is not a Christian coffee Shop, it is a family friendly coffee shop, but my wife and I are Christian and we don’t shy away from it.”

Now Joey and Nancy are bringing their pride and joy to Adamsville, making it one of the first coffee shops in that area.

“We are so excited about Adamsville because it will be our first franchise. We have been approached about franchising opportunities several times over the past couple years, and believe the timing is now right.

The success of this first franchise will set the framework for us to expand in a great way in the future.”

What to expect at The Blend Coffee House

If you’re a coffee addict like me, then the taste and variety of flavors are crucial to starting your day off in the right way.

You can expect to see a variety of lattes and smoothies, all available for customizing. The bistro offers build-your-own acai bowls, breakfast croissants, and assorted pastries. .

The Blend Coffee House is projected to open this spring.
