Eugene’s Hot Chicken, Yo Mama’s + more earned 95+ food service scores in January 2025

Several Jefferson County restaurants—including Eugene’s Hot Chicken in Uptown, Irondale Cafe, the Original Whistle Stop and 24 more—received 95 and above on their food service scores this past January.

Since 2018, Bham Now has reported the monthly Jefferson County Department of Health restaurant food service scores. Each month, the Health Department inspects an average of 100+ local establishments that handle and serve food.
