Good news, Mountain Brook!
Market, a new gourmet grocery shopping concept, is coming to Mountain Brook Village next month. This new market aims to reinvent grocery shopping by making it an inspiring process instead of a grueling one.
Read on to learn more about how Market plans to introduce a better way of shopping.
From Zoë’s Kitchen to Mountain Brook
If one were to glance over Tyre Stuckey’s resume, the very first thing you’d see is his impressive mentors: the highly skilled Chefs Zoë and Marcus Cassimus.
After graduating with a marketing degree from Auburn University, Tyre knew he wanted to serve others. He began to learn these skills while working for the Cassimus family and loved it so much, he decided to pursue a bigger role in the company.
After mastering the ways of Zoë’s Kitchen, Tyre opened over 100 locations across the country. He was able to quickly learn the ways of delighting customers through vibrant flavors of food and climbed his way up to the Vice President of Operations of Zoë’s Kitchen in 2012.
During Tyre’s annual trips to Greece, he fell in love with how local shops took great pride and selling some of the freshest produce he had ever seen. He wanted to bring this experience to the United States, specifically Mountain Brook.
“Living in Mountain Brooke, I always wanted to create something that felt needed. Market is a place where you can come in even if you don’t have an idea of what you want and we’re able to inspire you to create the food you’d like to have.”
Tyre Stuckey, founder, Market
After founding Birds and Burgers, Stuckey noticed the lack of passion in restaurants, prompting him to open Market, a new gourmet grocery shop that takes the hassle out of grocery shopping. This concept brings in flavors from all over the world and recipes that will help create new ideas for family dinners and other special events.
“It’s taken me three years to build this concept and I’ve searched all over to find the best of the best products. Our incredible pastries are quickly flash frozen from countries like Italy, Portugal, France and shipped in weekly so the quality is exactly like you would enjoy in their cafes.
I know this is evolve into something fantastic and I feel firmly confident that the items I’ve picked will inspire others to cook.”
Bonus: You can also find gourmet items from Tyre’s Birds and Burgers at Market.
Grocery shopping that’s actually fun
I can’t remember the last time I went to a grocery store and didn’t dread every moment I was there.
With Tyre’s fresh and organic way of grocery shopping, he aims to help Mountain Brook love grocery shopping once again. The shop will bring gourmet meals, chef-inspired seasonal goods and a pantry filled with locally-made staples.
Market will host its grand opening event on Wednesday, February 5. Follow Market on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated.
