Today, the Regions Tradition—Birmingham’s longstanding PGA TOUR Champions event—announced that Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED would be the tournament’s new presenting sponsor for this year’s event through 2028.

About the Regions Tradition

Held at Greystone Golf & Country Club in Hoover, the Regions Tradition is an annual golf tournament that draws huge crowds from across the state and beyond—in fact, more than 76K fans attended the event in 2023.

One of the five major championships of the PGA TOUR Champions golf tour, the Regions Tradition features:

  • Four days of elite competition between 78 players over 72 holes for a $2.6M purse.
  • A celebrity pro-am with renowned athletes, coaches and entertainers.

Over its 30-year history, the Regions Tradition has raised over $24M for local charities. The primary beneficiary of the tournament is Birmingham’s own Children’s of Alabama, a world-renowned pediatric medical center that has provided specialized medical care for ill and injured children since 1911.

This year, Birmingham’s Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED will serve as the tournament’s presenting sponsor alongside title sponsor Regions Bank.

The new agreement with Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED extends through 2028 and aims to enhance the tournament experience + expand charitable contributions.
